Microstoft Wired Natural Keyboard. August 9, 2010 Loves the keyboard I have used a microsoft natural keyboard form about 10+ years and love it. My old one was still working great, but our IT person suggested I upgrade. I love this one too. The keys are very easy to type on and of course I love the ergonomic shape.
Spacebar so noisy it's useless July 31, 2010 E. Nelson This is the worst keyboard I have ever tried. It has the loudest spacebar you have ever heard in your life. I type all day at work and my wrists hurt. This keyboard is very comfortable, and the letter keys are well spaced out and whisper quiet - perfect. However... the spacebar key is so loud it would surely drive everyone in my office nuts, not to mention myself. I cannot possibly imagine how the other reviewers use this keyboard - try it and find out just how loud a spacebar can be. It is really too bad, Microsoft designed the perfect keyboard, then made is useless the spacebar is so obnoxiously loud.
Huge Releif! July 27, 2010 Kim I purchased this keyboard about one month ago to help alleviate tennis elbow pain. It didn't take very long to get used to the difference in the keyboard and it is extremely more comfortable than a normal keyboard. I can tell the difference the most when I have to use a normal keyboard. This keyboard has been a huge relief for me.
Love This Keyboard July 5, 2010 Windows Shopper (Kansas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have this keyboard in the older version, with the PS2 connector only, and of course putty gray. As far as I can tell, the only significant difference is being provided a USB adapter for my new computer system. I was happy to find this keyboard for a reasonable price, and it's nice having it in black. So - Thank you, Microsoft, for continuing to make this keyboard; I only wish you'd sell the adapter separately on your website. Now, why I love it: My hands, wrists, and back are comfortable at the computer. The action is clean. The layout makes sense. The price is good. Most of all, after the initial few days getting used to this keyboard arrangement, I find it very difficult to go back to the typical keyboard. Having my fingers crunched together and my wrists stressed seems absurd. Adaptability: I have an HP Pavilion, and all I had to do was plug this keyboard in. Mechanics: No flaws in the key action. Comfort: Excellent. Besides the familiar friendly layout, I like the slightly textured surface - it provides a bit of traction. And it might show less wear over time. Price: Reasonable. Durability: Don't know yet. My old version is perhaps 10 years old, and was still working fine. Size: Be aware that this keyboard takes up more room than a typical new keyboard (of course, that's the point - more room for one's hands).
Natural Keyboard Elite Black is just what I sought July 2, 2010 Aaron McDaniel (Charleston, WV United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a pretty simple opinion. I want a full-function split keyboard. I want a keyboard without all the extraneous bells and whistles of media keys and whatever. This keyboard satisfies all those wants and on top of that, it's black! If you want a full-size split keyboard without all those extra media keys, I don't think there's much other option than a MS Natural Keyboard Elite. My last one was white, fading to beige over the years and I did use it for many years, to the point where I was getting worried I wouldn't be able to find another one to replace it. Microsoft surprised me though and released a black version. (I still ordered two just in case they do become hard to find. These two are my third and fourth MS Natural Keyboard Elites.) The complaint some users may have with this keyboard is the arrow keys are non-traditional, being smaller and arranged in a diamond shape rather than the upside-down T. If that's a significant problem for you, I wouldn't recommend this keyboard. I've used this style of keyboard for years so almost forgot to mention it. It has two Windows Logo keys (right and left), a Windows-Context key on the right, and a full set of PrintScreen, Scroll Lock, and Pause/Break keys, and all the other standard keys, so no need for an "Fn" key for some keys to do double duty. (I recently bought a wireless MS keyboard with no Scroll Lock key and that was a pain, but that's not the case here.) I find it sad that having a full set of standard keyboard keys is worth mentioning, but there it is. It doesn't have those annoying Power and Sleep keys either. (You know, the ones you hit accidentally that cause your computer to shut down or go into Sleep mode.)
