 Poor set up for keyboard August 25, 2010

I'm used to the Microsoft Wave split keyboard so this keyboard's set up was not hard to get used to. It has a very soft touch and I did like that part. But the small size of the keyboard & the way it is angled and set up on the whole resulted in shoulder & wrist aches because I was never centered over the keys. If I could redesign this keyboard, I would move the Insert, Page Up, etc keys to the left of the keyboard. Then I think it would be possible to be centered over the main keyboard & I would not need to strain my shoulder or wrist to reach anything. Other option I suppose would be to get myself a left handed mouse. At any rate, the seller did not respond to my email about return policy, so finally I called them and they did allow me to return it within 30 days per Amazon's policy. I was hoping for a much more comfortable keyboard that would be kind to my arthritic fingers but this one unfortunately did not do the trick.

I wore the lettering off the keyboard that came with my Compaq Presario PC and had tried several different corded keyboards all which I didn't like and then returned. I purchased this online from Electronic Expo for around $25 and UPS delivered it 8 days later in perfect condition in a second outer box. I love this keyboard. It is not the same one shown in the photo but it is definitely called the Logitech Comfort Wave 450 and comfort is right! I love the wrist rest which you can elevate with the little attached leg stands. I needed a small footprint because of my built-in office desk situation and this one fits the bill; it is no wider than the standard keyboard that came with my pc orginally. I like that it has a fast button to bring up calculator. The a-s-d-f and j-k-l-; are slightly lower for your fingers to rest and not have as far of a reach or push when typing the surrounding letters - brilliant! It is like taking ergonomics from a 2 dimensional application to a 3 dimensional application! LOVE IT! The keys are just the right response - not rinky tinky or too hard to push or overly touchy. It looks sharp. It is well worth the full MSRP of $60+ and I am really thrilled. I am so happy I returned the others and ended up with this one. I can't say enough about how thrilled I am with the Logitech Comfort Wave 450 USB ergonomic keyboard.

I searched long and far for a decent corded ergonomic keyboard that wasn't the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 as Microsoft's keyboard had a sticky space bar unless you hit the key dead center which is uncomfortable on a keyboard that's split into two sections.
This keyboard has soft keys, a detachable wrist rest, and height adjustments under the top and bottom half of the keyboard for 4 degrees and 6 degrees.
I rarely use media keys, but they're pretty standard. There's a calculator key right by the number pad. And the keyboard looks alright overall. Not the most attractive, but it's in no way ugly.
It's so good I'm going to buy another one!

I give the keyboard 4.5 stars overall. I purchased this keyboard for my office and decided to use one. I love that you can raise up the keyboard end with the wrist rest. Most keyboards only let you raise the other end. Having the wrist rest raised by far promotes the better ergonomics as far as I am concerned since your wrists aren't bent. Unlike the previous Microsoft keyboard I had, the keyboard is not split in 2 and the wave feels natural. I like the fact it is ready to go and no software is needed. We are not allowed to download software onto our office computers so this is a plus. The price is reasonable for the keyboard. My only gripe is that the stands to raise up the end are those little flips and sometimes when I am pushing stuff around my desk one of them goes under--but no biggie. I am happy I purchased this keyboard and purchased one for my boss too!

I recently purchased from Amazon and tried 3 or 4 different keyboards. I wanted to replace my old keyboard with a more comfortable/ergonomic one, and I thought I had hit the right one with the first purchase. After a few hours, I felt I didn't like it, and bought another one. Then another. All had a weird feeling, or required adapting to a new layout and I had no time to "re-train".
Finally, I bought the Logitech Wave 450. I have used it for a few hours now, and I love it! Finally a good, comfy, and solid keyboard! I actually have ordered another one, to replace my keyboard at work, so that I have two of the same.
